About Neighborhood Christian School
Neighborhood Christian School is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that prepares students for life. We serve children from preschool through middle school in Solano and Yolo Counties, offering a nurturing environment where students can grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.
Our History
Neighborhood Christian School was founded in 1979 to meet the educational and spiritual needs of children in Solano and Yolo Counties. The school began under the leadership of Deryl Radder, an educator and man of faith, who planted Neighborhood Christian in the community of Dixon with a heart for missions. Neighborhood Christian School has continued through the years with this same heart in educating students to make an impact upon the world.
Neighborhood is a private Christian Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School with a friendly family atmosphere. Our staff is qualified, caring, and committed to educating children for life. NCS is a long-standing member of the Association of Christian Schools, Inc. (ACSI) and is registered with the state of California as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Neighborhood Christian School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school.

At Neighborhood Christian School, students learn about God's purpose for their lives, see His involvement in their studies, and understand His desire for a personal relationship with each of them.
Academic Excellence
Our students consistently score one to two grade levels above national norms on the Stanford Achievement Test. We provide an encouraging and disciplined classroom environment that fosters academic success.
Social Maturity
Students engage in various community activities, such as canned food drives, visiting convalescent homes, praying for others, and reaching out to children in developing nations, fostering a sense of social responsibility and maturity.
Physical Development
We emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork through our physical education programs, encouraging students to lead active lifestyles and build a healthy foundation for life.
