After graduating from Humboldt State University in biological science, I began teaching in Christina schools in 1981. My wife Pat and I have been married for 35 years, and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
As a ‘science guy’, I enjoy incorporating God’s creating into teaching my students. They discover that our Creator is so imaginative and incredibly powerful in designing the smallest microscopic animal and the largest stars. We are reminded that God has made each one of us unique, and that He cares deeply for us – and better yet, that He longs to converse with us and to demonstrate His love and power As I see these young people grow in their knowledge and skills, I am thrilled to have been an encouragement toward excellence, spiritually, socially, and intellectually. These sixth graders can be amazing in their outreach to others, as I have often seen in Mexico during our annual spring missions trip to Ensenada, Mexico.
“Blesses is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and hon His law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1
